Things he has built.

Alongside coaching, Yazid builds small tools that solve real problems, for himself, his neighbourhood and anyone learning Agile. Each one started the same way he coaches teams to start: a real need, the thinnest useful slice, then improve from feedback.

Job Hacker

Self-hosted job-hunt workbench · AI-assisted

Job hunting means dozens of tabs, a messy spreadsheet and rewriting the same resume again and again. Job Hacker puts it in one place: paste a link, the job is saved, and you move it through your pipeline while the app helps tailor your resume and cover letter for it.

What it does

  • Add a job from a link. Reads LinkedIn, MyCareersFuture and most career sites. When a page won't share its details, paste the text and AI fills in the fields.
  • Pipeline: Saved → Applied → Interviewing → Offer → Closed, shown as a strip you can tap to filter.
  • Fit check: a 1–10 score against your resume, with strengths, gaps and keywords.
  • Tailored resume and cover letter for each job: edit, copy or download as Word.
  • Claude or a local model: every AI action can run on Claude or on a free local model through Ollama. Pick jobs for an overnight run and wake up to tailored resumes.
  • Phone-first: installable to your home screen and shows up in the Android share menu.

How it's built

One containerDocker or Podman. One SQLite file, no separate database or web server.
→
Python APIFastAPI and SQLAlchemy. Link scraping, AI prompts, Word export.
→
Plain web appHTML, CSS and JS with no build step. Installable as a PWA.
  • An API for automation tools such as n8n, plus profiles, backup and restore, and CSV import.
  • Every push runs the test suite, then GitHub Actions publishes an image for Intel and Apple Silicon.
  • Built to run at home on a Mac mini, reachable securely through a Cloudflare Tunnel.

Bedok Trick-or-Treat

Neighbourhood website · live map · Telegram bot

Families in Bedok wanted to trick-or-treat with their neighbours, but nobody knew which homes were taking part. This site lists the homes that welcome trick-or-treaters on a live map, so kids know where to go and neighbours get to know each other. Kampung spirit, with a pumpkin.

What it does

  • Live list and map of participating homes, with filters, allergy-friendly treats and "nearest to me" (your location never leaves your phone).
  • Sign-up form that looks up the postal code, accepts Bedok addresses only and blocks duplicates.
  • Owners stay in control: remove a listing any time with a house ID and password.
  • Telegram channel and bot for announcements, new-house posts and admin on the go.
  • Updates itself: visitors' pages refresh about every 45 seconds.

How it's built

Static siteAmazon S3 behind Cloudflare. Stays up even if everything else is down.
→
One WorkerCloudflare Worker with a D1 (SQLite) database handles every write.
→
PublishWrites fresh JSON back to S3. A 5-minute job retries anything that failed.
  • Bot protection with Cloudflare Turnstile. Admin page behind Cloudflare Access.
  • Scheduled posts, automatic retries and a yearly clean-up of personal data.
  • End-to-end tests for the Worker. Auto-deploy with GitHub Actions.
  • Runs for well under US$1 a month: everything except S3 is on a free plan.

🚧 Test site. The demo below runs in preview mode: the houses are made-up samples, not real homes taking part, and anything you add stays on your own device. Please don't go trick-or-treating at these addresses.

Plain-English Agile guides · team games · 3 languages

The site you're on. Its goal is simple: teach Agile as simply as possible. Most Agile material is full of jargon and assumes you already know the basics. These guides start from zero, show the idea in a picture first, and explain why each practice exists, so people outside tech can use it too.

What it does

  • Plain-English guides on Scrum and Kanban, building in small steps, slicing and sizing work, WIP limits, OKRs vs KPIs, setting OKRs (with 35 examples) and writing user stories.
  • Picture first: every guide uses simple diagrams, short summaries, checklists and templates you can copy.
  • Learn by doing: three short browser games use an example clinic to practise seeing the work, finishing sooner and improving every week.
  • English, Korean and Malay: every guide in three languages, so more people can learn in the language they think in.
  • Built as a live sprint board: the home page itself works like the boards it teaches.

How it's built

Static pagesHand-written HTML, CSS and JS. No framework and no build step.
→
Amazon S3Hosting that costs very little and has almost nothing to break.
→
CloudflareFast delivery worldwide, plus a small Worker that remembers each visitor's language.
  • Diagrams are drawn in SVG, so they stay sharp and switch automatically between light and dark mode.
  • Every page is checked on desktop and phone before it goes live.
